| .... AT NATIONALS.....Anastasia Nefedova, 10, won her first gold ball with her national singles championship last month in the USTA Clay Court Girls 12 National Championships in Boca Raton. Anastasia, who is coached by her father Eugene Nefedev at Royal Racquet Club, battled over a 7-hour period that included two rain delays and a three-set match. Second-seed Anastasia won the first set in a tiebreak, fell 6-2 in the second and held serve in the third to win 6-4. |
Last month, Anastasia won the girls 12 Florida state title.
This month, Anastasia competed in the USTA Hard Court Girls 12 National Championships in Georgia and played to the semifinal round. |

| No. 11 seed Alexandra Cercone advanced to the quarterfinal round before falling in three sets to No. 4 Lauren Embree of Marco Island in the USTA National Girls 18 Hard Court Championships. Alexandra and partner Jacqueline Kasler of Gulf Breeze reached the round of 16 in doubles. |

| Team Florida beat USTA section Mid-Atlantic in the final 15-3. Adam was unbeaten in No. 2, as was Jacqueline in No. 4. Noah in No. 5, Jake in No. 6 and Star in No. 1 were all 4-1. |

| .... AT STATE....In this month's junior designated tournaments in south Florida, best local finishes included Alexis Franco in the girls 12 and Garrett in the boys 18 each playing to the quarterfinal round and Ricky Symanski reaching the boys 16 round of 16. |
| At last month's North Florida Designated Tournament in Tallahassee, No. 4 seed Agatha Ambrozy finished second in the girls 16 division. No. 7 seed Amy Lowther was fourth in the girls 16 competition. |
| ....AT LOCAL....Agatha Ambrozy collected a singles title in girls 18 round robin in the Treasure Island Local Junior Tournament, along with Dilan Scargle in the boys 10, topseed Aaron Carey in 12 and Adam Ambrozy in 14. Playing to runnerup spots were Jack Ledford-Stover (boys 10), Beau Langford (12) and Parker Hayslett (14). Boys 14 topseed Ganesh Rajaram won the consolation draw. |
